Today, Joseph Parker puts his slice of the Heavyweight title pie on the line in a battle with Hughie Fury. Parker vs. Fury is for the WBO title Parker won last year. Adding an extra layer of intrigue to this fight is the fact that Parker won the belt after it was vacated by Fury cousin Tyson Fury. Now, Hughie is looking to bring the title back to Team Fury.
The Heavyweight division has been back in the spotlight in recent years thanks to the fall of Wladimir Klitschko and the rise of a new crop of talent. Neither Parker nor Fury has yet shown that he belongs in the true upper echelon of today’s new Heavyweight division, but they are well matched here and should provide a quality fight that gives either man a significant win.
