GGG vs. Canelo video: Watch all 33 knockouts of Gennady Golovkin’s career

Gennady Golovkin is one of the most vicious punchers in the world of boxing. Here’s every stoppage victory of GGG’s remarkable career.

If you’ve ever wanted to see every knockout of Gennady Golovkin’s professional career, this is the video for you. The reigning WBC, IBF, and WBA middleweight champion has stopped all but four of his thirty-seven opponents, and is regarded as one of the most dangerous punchers in boxing.

In this video compilation (courtesy of Boxing Extra), which you can see at the top of the page, you can check out Golovkin’s thirty-three stoppages. Some of them are clean KOs, most notably that outrageous right-hand shot that put Nobuhiro Ishida out cold. You’ll see a few mercy stoppages due to accumulation of blows, including his PPV debut against David Lemieux, as well as his win over Kassim Ouma in Panama. If there are some clips where the bell sounds and you don’t see a knockout or the referee intervening, that means it was stopped either by the doctor or the corner. There are a handful of more recent bouts in which you’ll see footage of a corner stoppage, such as the Curtis Stevens and Kell Brook contests.

For those unaware of GGG’s career, his US debut didn’t materialize until September 2012, by which point he was already 23-0 and held the WBA’s secondary title. It’s a great timeline for both Golovkin’s evolution as a boxer, as well as the fanbase he’s established after spending his early days competing in Germany.

Gennady Golovkin fights Canelo Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) for Gennady’s middleweight titles on Saturday, September 16th on HBO pay-per-view. The main broadcast starts at an earlier-than-normal start time of 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
