Saturday night is the kind of fight any combat sports fan lives for. After a long wait, it’s finally time for Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin.

Canelo vs. GGG is for undisputed supremacy in the 160 pound Middleweight division. There are a handful of organizational titles on the line, including belts from the WBA, WBC, and IBF. But the real title on the line is the lineal Middleweight crown. Canelo won that title from Miguel Cotto two years ago, and while most now view Golovkin as the true king at 160 pounds, Canelo has never lost his title. This is a chance to determine the true #1, and it will happen in a very even fight between two of the best boxers on the planet today. There’s nothing to not love about this fight, perhaps aside from the steep price tag.

The Canelo vs. Golovkin card airs live on PPV this Saturday, September 16 with a special early fight time of 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT. The card is pretty typical for a boxing PPV - highlight of the PPV undercard is the latest from the undefeated JoJo Diaz. Join Bloody Elbow Saturday night for live fight night coverage of Canelo vs. Golovkin.
