Titled 'tame your demons', the cinematic UFC 214 trailer focuses on Jones' checkered past and frequent run-ins with the Albuquerque police department, amongst other things, such as failed drug tests for cocaine and alcohol abuse.
Jones, the former light heavyweight champion and best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, was stripped of the title after his involvement in a hit-and-run incident in 2015. The 29-year-old, who holds a championship win over Cormier from UFC 182, was expected to rematch 'DC' at UFC 200 but was removed from the pay-per-view after testing positive for banned substances Clomiphene and Letrozole.
Cormier, the current champion, has risen to the occasion in Jones' absence, capturing the title at UFC 187 and defending it against Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson (now retired) and Alexander Gustafsson. The former Olympian also beat MMA legend Anderson Silva in a non-title fight at UFC 200, as a substitute for his scheduled rematch against 'Bones'.
Jones and Cormier have been at each other's throats for three years, and the two rivals will look to settle the score at UFC 214. The blockbuster PPV, which features three championship bouts in total and promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year, takes place later this month, July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
