UFC 213 video: Embedded, part 4 - ‘I’m too white’

New, comments

Check out episode four of Embedded for UFC 213.

UFC 213 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the four fighters that make up the top of the card. You are also introduced to some other fighters on the PPV.

Things kick off with champ Amanda Nunes, who is in her room playing video games. Her mom shows up and they have a big hug session. It’s her mom’s first time in America. Aww.

Robert Whittaker’s coaches briefly talk about this being his chance to break into the mainstream in Australia. Yoel Romero meets Matt Brown and Jesse Taylor, before doing a light workout.

Back to Nunes, who is doing her own light workout with Din Thomas while Nina Ansaroff talks about her. The “and still” thing is getting annoying though.

It’s Ultimate Media Day, with Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko doing the rounds. Romero and Travis Browne meet in the hallway, where Romero asks how tall he is. He replies, and Yoel asks why he doesn’t play basketball. “I’m too white,” he responds.

Romero and Whittaker talk to the media, before Fabricio Werdum gets his phone out and teases Romero a bit with some questions.

And that’s it!

UFC 213 goes down Saturday, July 8th in Las Vegas.
