UFC 213 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the four fighters that make up the top of the card.
This part kicks off at American Top Team where Yoel Romero is working out. He says that he’s the underdog, the old man, going into every one of his fights, but the favorite is shown in the Octagon. His mental state is great going into his bout with Robert Whittaker. He then heads off to a Latino juice store, talking about how he’ll be the “champion of Miami” when he wins.
Next up is Whittaker, who is already in Vegas. His wife is cooking, helping him stick to his meal plan. They then FaceTime with their children for a little while. You then are witness to a training session where Whittaker and his coach talk about Romero, giving him his props.
Valentina Shevchenko meets some fans before she signs some posters. Then she goes to Whole Foods to get some snacks.
Finally we see UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, who is going through a training session with coach Din Thomas. Finally, it’s off the UFC Athlete Institute to see a physical therapist to cool down after the workout.
UFC 213 goes down Saturday, July 8th in Las Vegas.
