UFC Oklahoma City salaries: B.J. Penn takes home biggest check despite loss

Check out the salaries from the UFC’s most recent Fight Night event in Oklahoma.

Three fighters made $100,000 or more for their respective UFC Fight Night bouts over the weekend, and only one of them came away with the victory. You don’t see that every day. Tim Boetsch, who took out former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks in a 185-pound bout, was the lone big winner on the card, taking home 134k for his efforts. Hendricks himself made 100k for the loss. The biggest salary on the Oklahoma City card belonged to legend B.J. Penn, who made 150k in a loss to Dennis Siver.

Also, it appears by these numbers that Hendricks wasn’t fined for missing weight. That seems strange, because generally fighters have to give up 20% of their purse to their opponent. Not this time, apparently.
