Conor McGregor’s baby born with verified Instagram account and thousands of followers

The Conor McGregor population has officially doubled. The UFC lightweight champion’s longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin as given birth to the couple’s first child, Conor Jack McGregor, as reported by the Irish Mirror. McGregor’s father, Tony, spoke to the media, welcoming the arrival of the newest member of the family.

"There’s great news for the McGregors and the Devlins.

"Baby Conor Jack McGregor was delivered last night at 8pm in the Coombe Hospital.

"He came in at 8 pounds 14 ounces. The whole family are absolutely delighted.

"We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy."

McGregor and Devlin have already set up a verified account for their new baby, and at the time of writing it has 15.4k followers before even making their first post. Hopefully for fight fans, this will also mean a step forward in the planning of McGregor’s return to competition. At the moment, negotiations for his boxing vs. MMA superfight with Floyd Mayweather are still less than concrete, and talk of any other potential return to the UFC has been little more than speculative. Maybe a summer of changing diapers will spur McGregor back into action.
