UFC Stockholm betting odds: No surprise to see Gustafsson favored in Sweden

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is returning to Stockholm, Sweden this Sunday for UFC Fight Night 109, and Bloody Elbow has all of your betting odds at the ready. The Swedish marquee matchup will involve native son, and the UFC’s #1 light heavyweight, Alexander Gustafsson (-275) taking on the #2 ranked Glover Teixeira (+235). Other Top-10 light heavyweights will be on display in the co-main event, as the #7 Misha Cirkunov (-450) will square off with the #5 Volkan Oezdemir (+400).

The fattest favorite on the UFC Fight Night 109 card comes by way of Pedro Munhoz (-740) who can be found north of -800, with the comeback on Damian Stasiak at +595. Other matches involving a sizable favorite include Misha Cirkunov (-450) vs. Volkan Oezdemir (+400), Nordine Taleb (-450) vs. Oliver Enkamp (+360), and Darren Till (-355) vs. Jessin Ayari (+320). With both competitors being found sporting a favorite tag, the pick’em fight of UFC Stockholm belongs to a Eddie Bravo black belt vs. Dean Lister black belt bout between Ben Saunders and Peter Sobotta.

Sunday’s UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Teixeira Exclusive Fight Pass Prelims will begin at 10:00 A.M. ET. The prelims will start at 11:00 A.M. ET on FOX Sports 1 and will spill over into the main card at 1:00 P.M. ET.

Misha Cirkunov vs. Volkan Oezdemir: Light Heavyweight

The UFC’s #7 ranked light heavyweight Misha Cirkunov (-450) opened up as a solid betting favorite, around -260, over the #5 ranked Volkan Oezdemir (+400), who opened up around +180. The betting public has shifted the line of Cirkunov to the heavy favorite realm of around -450, with Oezdemir’s tag skyrocketing to a robust line of about +400.

Pedro Munhoz vs. Damian Stasiak: Bantamweight

The UFC’s #12 ranked bantamweight Pedro Munhoz (-740) began his UFC Stockholm betting life as a rather large favorite at around -505, to the unranked Damian Stasiak (+595) and his opening line of about +335. Munhoz’ sizable tag has not seemed to scare off the gamblers, as his line has soared to over -833 on some betting sites. The underdog line of Stasiak has spiked as high as +700 at times, but appears to be settling right below the +600 mark.

The lack of alluring lines, leads us to believe that laying down any loot could inevitably land us in the Loser’s Lounge, so as far as setting a bet for UFC Stockholm, let’s just sit this Sunday out. NO ACTION.
