Report: Iuri Alcantara set for rematch with Felipe Arantes at UFC 212

Brazilian bantamweights Iuri Alcantara and Felipe Arantes are set to fight once again in Rio de Janeiro, more than five years after their first encounter, at UFC 134, as Combate reported.

The winner by unanimous decision the first time around, Iuri Alcantara (33-6 (1)) will try to make it three victories in a row as he comes off a couple of submissions win over Luke Sanders and Brad Pickett. His last loss was unanimous decision defeat at the hands of fellow bantamweight contender Jimmie Rivera in January 2016.

Felipe Arantes (18-8-1(2)) had a successful drop to bantamweight, winning his first two outings by armbar, against Yves Jabouin and Jerrod Sanders, until he dropped a split decision to Erik Perez in his last fight, in November 2016. His first fight with Alcantara was contested at featherweight.

Iuri Alcantara will meet Felipe Arantes at UFC 212, in Rio de Janeiro, on June 3. The card will be headlined by a title unification bout between featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, and the interim champion, Max Holloway.
