Video: UFC champ Michael Bisping lands role in new film 'My Name is Lenny'

Michael Bisping will star as Roy Shaw in the upcoming film, My Name is Lenny.

Michael Bisping has starred in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Twin Peaks, British TV show Hollyoaks, and now, the UFC middleweight champion will feature as one of the main characters in the upcoming movie My Name is Lenny, directed by Ron Scalpello.

My Name is Lenny, set for cinematic release on June 9, is based on the true story of "one of Britain's most notorious bare-knuckle fighters, Lenny McLean, also known as 'The Guv'nor'", per IMDB.

Bisping, 38, is the first British champ in UFC history, knocking out the highly touted Luke Rockhold to win the 185-pound title last year and going on to defend the belt against Dan Henderson at UFC 204.

'The Count’ is expected to defend his title for the second time against former welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre, who announced his comeback earlier this year after spending over three years on the sidelines.

The championship bout was originally targeted for international fight week in July but has been pushed back to a later, undisclosed date.
