When Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos first fought, it was a back and forth war that went the distance. They rematched to headline UFC 211, and the outcome was completely different.
Miocic needed just a little over 2 minutes to knockout Dos Santos to get revenge and defend his UFC heavyweight title. After taking two early kicks that hurt his calf, the champion backed Dos Santos to the fence, and landed an overhand right to finish the fight.
Watch the knockout blow below, along with a snippet from our live blog to give more details on the contest that ended quickly.
Round 1 - Miocic with an inside leg kick. Junior returns it. Miocic walks Dos Santos down and clips him with a right. JDS responds with two leg kicks. Stipe landed with a right again. Miocic with an outside leg kick. Miocic with a left and a right close to the fence. Two rights soften up Junior’s nose. Big straight right again. Huge right sends JDS to the mat! A bevy of lefts on a turtled up Dos Santos and it is all over just like that!
