At UFC 211, Stipe Miocic & Joanna Jedrzejczyk face the toughest test in sports

Bloody Elbow’s Connor Ruebusch of takes a look at the two title fights set for UFC 211, and speaks about the titanic struggle for divisional dominance.

In MMA, winning the belt has always been much easier than keeping it. In 24 years of UFC history, only five men—Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jose Aldo, and Demetrious Johnson—have truly managed to dominate a division, consecutively defending their titles more than eight times.

In this video, we take a look at two current UFC champions. Stipe Miocic and Joanna Jedrzejczyk may be among the most charismatic rulers in the UFC today, and they are certainly very skilled, but at UFC 211 they will take on the toughest test in sports: defending a UFC title, again. And challengers Junior Dos Santos and Jessica Andrade seem poised to knock the king and queen down from their thrones. Divisional dominance isn’t easy, and that is why we so love to watch the attempt.
