BE’s Baddest Greatest Lightweight: #3 Nate Diaz vs. #6 Caol Uno

Vote now in the Bloody Elbow Baddest Tournament to determine the Greatest MMA Lightweight of All Time. Today's match-up: #3 Nate Diaz vs. #6 Caol Uno. Vote now!

As has been the case all tournament, our most recent BE’s Baddest proved to be an interesting match-up with some great arguments made on both ends. I will admit, I came around on #7 seed Gray Maynard being a worthy opponent for #2 seed Shinya Aoki, but in the end, the fancy pants won out as Aoki took the win 46-22. Next up, the submission master will face the winner of Takanori Gomi vs. Kid Yamamoto in what will be an old school Japanese MMA dream match no matter how it plays out.

Today, that old school JMMA vibe continues, this time represented by #6 seed Caol Uno. He takes on #3 Nate Diaz. It’s two men who have both fought for the sport’s top prize, but never quite managed to get over that hump and win a major title. Your votes determine who moves on to the Sweet 16.

In order to vote, simply leave a comment. In the subject line make sure you follow these guidelines:

To vote for Nate Diaz write: Vote - Diaz

To vote for Caol Uno write: Vote - Uno

Voting is open for 24 hours, so get your votes in now.
