Despite some recent statements, Dana White believes that a boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor can still be made, and he wouldn’t hold Conor back.

Dana White keeps going back and forth on a potential boxing match between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and sweet science legend Floyd Mayweather. While Mayweather has “officially” come out of retirement and is saying he will only fight McGregor, Dana White has made it clear that there are many hurdles to overcome. Even when a rumor came up that the T-Mobile Arena was booked for June, White shot it down, saying the bout is “nowhere near being done”.

Today though, he switched it up a bit. When asked by TMZ about who McGregor was going to fight next, he gave a UFC fighter as an option - and threw Mayweather out there:

"I don't know. You know, he obviously has a lot of opportunities right now. Tony Ferguson is out there. The Floyd Mayweather thing is out there. We'll see how this thing plays out."

When the surprised reporter asked if it was still on the table, White confirmed it and said he wouldn’t hold McGregor back from it:

"Yeah, I mean there' doesn't make a lot of sense for my business, but I would never keep Conor from making that kind of money.”

He also, once again, quashed rumors about the June 10th hold on the T-Mobile Arena:

""It has nothing to do with us. Nothing to do with the Floyd/Conor fight."

And the saga continues.
