UFC Houston video recap: Korean Zombie ends layoff with first round KO win

After more than a three-year layoff, Chan Sung Jung made his Octagon return as the headliner for UFC Fight Night Houston. To everyone’s delight, the “Korean Zombie” made a strong statement by finishing Dennis top-ten ranked Dennis Bermudez via first round knockout.

What was the high point of the fight?

The two-minute stand-up exchange between both fighters was a fun one to watch. Bermudez was playing the aggressor for the most part, and was even able to land a right hand in the opening minute. But the Korean Zombie kept his patience and was able to land a clean right uppercut to drop Bermudez and subsequently end the fight.

Where do these two go from here?

Bermudez will likely drop down the standings after his loss, and would likely need to fight someone from the top ten get back in the rankings.

The Korean Zombie has always been a fan favorite, and such a notable performance has practically been a trademark for him. He does deserve a fight against someone higher ranked, perhaps someone like Brian Ortega.

Watch it now, later or never?

There were high expectations for the Korean Zombie entering this fight, and he definitely did not disappoint. A must-watch performance.
