The UFC’s number 13 lightweight, Anthony Pettis, was treated to an exhilarating ride ahead of his UFC Norfolk bout with Dustin Poirier, as the former 155 pound champion boarded an 11m Naval Special Warfare RIB boat, along with some of the United States Navy’s finest. The UFC Norfolk headliner linked up with Spartyka Fight League founder, Jimi Partyka, who is also an active duty Navy Chief and the Senior Enlisted Leader at Center For Security Force at Little Creek base in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Bloody Elbow was on location to capture the action.
In the video, Pettis can be seen suited up in special waterproofing Navy swag, and sits right up front with the boat captain and navigator as they speed towards the Atlantic Ocean. After the ride, Pettis was kind enough to sign a couple of autographs for some lucky fans.
Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Pettis main card will air live on FS1 at 10:00 P.M. ET with the prelims starting at 8:00 P.M. ET on the same channel. The exclusive Fight Pass prelims will begin at 6:30 P.M. ET.
