UFC 217 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth and final episode for this weekend’s big show in NYC, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre are at MSG doing an interview together. As has become typical, Bisping talked a bunch of smack and GSP laughed at him. Bisping walks out and GSP mocked all his swearing.
Cody Garbrandt talks to Kobe Bryant, as they announce the Body Armor sports drink partnership with the UFC. Meanwhile, T.J. Dillashaw is meeting fans and talking about Cody. Rose Namajunas says she knew Joanna Jedrzejczyk was going to touch her at the press conference. Trevor Wittman talks up his fighter a bit.
Jedrzejczyk is getting her weight cut started, as is Dillashaw. Garbrandt is at Renzo’s, talking about releasing the video of him KOing Dillashaw at a Team Alpha Male practice. A guy that certainly looked like Mike Tyson was there too.
GSP is cutting weight. He doesn’t have a ton to lose so it’s easy. He listens to the interview with Bisping and laughs again.
Everyone does the legit weigh-in. GSP does a posing routine. Jorge Masvidal and Bisping get into it again. Bisping is the last one on the scale, and he yells “F—k you!” as he walks off. Then adds “Georges!” so the media doesn’t think he’s talking to them. That was funny.
UFC 217 goes down tonight in Madison Square Garden.
