UFC 218 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in Detroit, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off in the Nova Uniao gym in Brazil with UFC featherweight title challenger Jose Aldo. His coach talks about working on his movement and some things where they feel they’re better than the current champ.
Newsflash - Max Holloway is still cold. He goes to the mall to buy a big coat to keep him warm in Detroit (which isn’t even that cold right now - come on Max). Then it’s over to Detroit Axe to...well, throws an axe or two. His personal photographer ends up beating him, then conducts a Holloway-style interview to Yancy Medeiros. Pretty funny.
Over in Nevada, Francis Ngannou is getting a haircut. He then heads to LA for media, before leaving for Detroit. He eats a big steak and designer dessert, then gets stalked by a big fan. Who just happens to be Anderson Silva.
Alistair Overeem shows up for the UFC Unfiltered podcast with Matt Serra and Jim Norton. He talks about what motivates him, and wants to see some documents because he thinks Ngannou is older than him. They round out the episode talking about why they all have daughters.
And that’s it! UFC 218 goes down this Saturday in Motown.
