UFC 217 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in NYC, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Georges St-Pierre is at ESPN studios to be a guest on First Take. They show Michael Bisping watching the show, commenting on what GSP is saying. Bisping then shows up so they can film a show together, and comments on Georges being a little bit smaller. “You’ve gotta get back on those pancakes!”
Okay, that was pretty funny.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk is cuddling with adorable little dog and eating a little bit. They put two dogs face-to-face and one growls.
Cody Garbrandt goes watch shopping. T.J. Dillashaw arrives in Newark and films a short video for a fan, then signs autographs at the hotel. Johny Hendricks makes his first appearance in the show, talking to Garbrandt a bit. Garbrandt then jokes about his eyebrows, referencing a comment Bisping previously made about them.
GSP greets a bunch of people on the way in (including various members of Team Alpha Male), and he checks his weight. 196.2.
“I’m f—king small! God damn!” “Don’t put that in the f—king show!”
It’s weird listening to GSP swear.
He then tosses a football around the interview room, admitting that he can’t throw very well.
Jorge Masvidal is here. He does some media stuff and then smack talks someone with a camera. Rose Namajunas arrives at the airport with her dog. Stephen Thompson heads to MSG to check out a New York Rangers hockey game with Mickey Gall. They gift two UFC 217 tickets to a couple, and the woman’s reaction is priceless - “Shut the f—k up!”
UFC 217 goes down this Saturday night in Madison Square Garden.
