Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks had a strong start in his middleweight debut in February with a win against Hector Lombard. But after being once again riddled with weight issues, he incurred his first loss at 185-pounds via a second round TKO against Tim Boetsch.

“Big Rigg” is scheduled to fight Paulo Borrachinha in the preliminary card of UFC 217 this November. With the hopes of getting back into the winning track, Hendricks will be moving his camp to the famed Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA Academy in Albuquerque.

Hendricks made the announcement via Twitter.

Prior to this move, Hendricks was training out of War Room MMA in Fort Worth, Texas, working with long-time coach Steven Wright. Before his win against Lombard, the 34-year-old former welterweight went 1-5, first dropping the title to Robbie Lawler in their rematch at UFC 181 in 2014. The losses that followed were also a byproduct of his weight cutting troubles, which ultimately prompted him to move up to middleweight.

UFC 217 will take place on November 4th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
