UFC 200 may have been deemed a disappointing mega-event, but the Fight Pass preliminary card certainly delivered some action. The most eye-opening result was Joe Lauzon brutalizing Diego Sanchez in under 90 seconds. Sanchez is notorious for his chin, having only been “stopped” because of a gigantic cut that opened up in his loss to BJ Penn. J-Lau became the first man to ever finish Diego with strikes, and you can watch the video at the top of the page.
Here’s the play-by-play as done by Dallas Winston:
R1: Sanchez lands a left round kick to the body, then a glancing uppercut. Now a lead left to the body for Sanchez. Lauzon wades forward in a low stance, winging wide heaters with both hands. A left hook catches Sanchez square and drops him. Lauzon stays on the trigger and wobbles Sanchez with another, though he's still on his feet. Sanchez tries to circle out and get some space but blatantly staggers away, clearly out of sorts. The ref steps in and waves it off.
Joe Lauzon defeats Diego Sanchez by TKO (punches) R1 1:26
