It looks as if UFC 208’s lineup of fights is now complete, as a middleweight matchup has been added to the UFC’s debut event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Newsday’s Mark Lamonica reports that Ronaldo Souza has been booked to face Tim Boetsch on the Saturday, February 11th pay-per-view.

Jacare (23-4, 1 NC) fought just once in 2016, stopping Vitor Belfort via 1st round ground-and-pound TKO at UFC 198. He was scheduled to rematch Luke Rockhold at UFC Melbourne in November, but was pulled from the event after Rockhold withdrew due to injury. The former Strikeforce champion was a standby fighter at UFC 205 in case something happened to the Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero bout.

Boetsch (20-10) has won his last two fights, stopping the late Josh Samman in July, then knocking out Rafael Natal at UFC 205. Prior to those wins, “The Barbarian” had lost three straight, including an ill-fated return to light heavyweight, where he was TKO’d by Ed Herman in January 2016. Boetsch had also suffered a 28-second KO vs. Dan Henderson, as well as a Fight of the Night submission loss to Thales Leites.

Hey, at least someone responded to that fake Craigslist ad created by Jacare’s manager.

The UFC 208 main event is a matchup between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie, with the winner crowned the first ever UFC women’s featherweight champion.
