Earlier tonight and directly opposite the UFC’s live programming in Denver, Colorado, current lightweight champion Conor McGregor was giving a one-on-one, PPV interview to Ariel Helwani in front of 5000 fans in Manchester, England. Upon his arrival at the black tie affair, McGregor made an Instagram post that took aim at the UFC, WWE, Floyd Mayweather, boxing and Hollywood.

The contents of the post read:

“I'm so made! Heading to do a Q and A in front of 5000 fans! You read that right. That's more than UFC attendance tonight. And it's on PPV at Fuck the UFC. Fuck Floyd. Fuck boxing. Fuck the WWE. Fuck Hollywood. And fuck you too pay me.”

Following the Denver card, UFC president Dana White responded to the comments during the post-fight presser (H/T Jed I. Goodman):

“Dana White: I've always shown #Conor nothing but respect & if he wants to go down that road with us. Let me tell you, it'll be an epic fall.”

In a second tweet, Jed explains how the quote was acquired:

“Quote is after John Morgan asked Dana what he thought about Conor earlier today posting F UFC & he would do boxing match w/or w/o #UFC.”

During McGregor’s interview, he discussed the possibility of a fight with Floyd Mayweather in detail, stating that he was 100% positive that his next fight would be a boxing match You can catch the particulars on that here. Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for more on this story as it develops.
