A rematch between Quinton Jackson and Muhammed Lawal has been booked for the main event of Bellator 175, which will take place on March 31, officials announced Saturday on the Bellator 170 broadcast. The event will air live on Spike TV.

No location or venue details for the event were announced.

Jackson and Lawal headlined Bellator MMA’s first (and last) pay-per-view event, Bellator 120, in May 2014. After a very close bout, “Rampage” was given a somewhat controversial unanimous decision over “King Mo.”

Though most of both competitors’ fights have taken place in the 205-pound division, the rematch will be contested at heavyweight.

Jackson (37-11) returned to the UFC after the win over Lawal and defeated Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186. After that win, however, the former UFC light heavyweight champion found himself back in the Bellator MMA cage following legal issues with the Viacom-owned organization. In his last fight, “Rampage” defeated Satoshi Ishii by decision.

Lawal (20-6, 1 NC) has been much more active than Jackson in recent years. He is 8-2 in his last 10 fights, and is coming off a TKO loss to Mirko Cro Cop at Rizin FF 3 in round two of the Japan-based organization’s grand prix tournament last month. Two weeks prior, he beat the aforementioned Ishii by decision at Bellator 169.
