Yair Rodriguez’s win over B.J. Penn was enough for the UFC rankings panel to give him a boost up the top 10 list.

What does a win over the 2017, featherweight edition of B.J. Penn get you? A decent bump up the featherweight rankings, apparently. Yair Rodriguez’s knockout win over the former two-division champion sees him at #8 following last weekend’s UFC Phoenix card. Meanwhile, Sergio Pettis rose to top 10 status after his impressive win over John Moraga, and Oleksiy Oliynyk is back in heavyweight’s top 15 after his Ezekiel choke win over Viktor Pesta.

The complete UFC rankings can be found here.

Pound-for-Pound: T.J. Dillashaw moved up two spots to 12th, while Max Holloway and Khabib Nurmagomedov dropped to 13th and 14th, respectively. Joanna Jedrzejczyk rose to 6th, sending Stipe Miocic down to 7th.

Women’s Strawweight: No changes

Flyweight: Sergio Pettis had the highest ascension of any UFC fighter this week, going from 15th to 9th. John Moraga plummeted from 8th to 13th, which bumped Louis Smolka down to 14th, and Tim Elliott to 15th. Dustin Ortiz is in Moraga’s old spot.

Women’s Bantamweight: Alexis Davis went up to 11th, swapping places with Ashlee Evans-Smith, now down in 12th.

Men’s Bantamweight: No changes

Lightweight: No changes

Welterweight: No changes

Middleweight: Following Tim Kennedy’s retirement announcement, he’s been removed from the rankings. He retired as the #11 ranked fighter, so everyone below him has been moved up a spot, so 11th-15th is now comprised of (in order): Krzyszstof Jotko, Uriah Hall, Tim Boetsch, Thales Leites, and Rafael Natal.

Light Heavyweight: No changes

Heavyweight: Francis Ngannou will enter next week’s fight with Andrei Arlovski at #10. Stefan Struve was bumped down to 11th, and due to injury, won’t be fighting Junior dos Santos next month. Alexander Volkov and Daniel Omielanczuk were elevated to 12th and 13th, respectively. Oleksiy Oliynyk’s Ezekiel choke gets him back into the rankings, as he’s tied with Timothy Johnson for 14th.
