The UFC has released it’s latest “Thrill and Agony” video, this one coming from UFC 207, and it does not fail in its effort to elicit emotion from viewers. You’ll see Cody Garbrandt’s tearful hugging of his personal muse, cancer survivor Maddux maple, as well as more tear spillage from him with teammate, Urijah Faber.
There are the angst-filled screams of Ronda Rousey’s coach, Edmond Tarverdyan, heard, and now seen, as she loses her fight in under a minute. Images of her family jumping out of their seats with concern also make an appearance in the clip.
Amanda Nunes’ adrenaline surge as she walks back to the locker room is captured on film when she exclaimed that Ronda will “retire now.” Her family is also shown, jubilant over her win.
The video is just 2:09 long, but it packs in the most raw reactions from the fighters and their families. There’s even a small snippet of former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and NFL Hall of Famer, Michael Irvin talking about his level of excitement:
“Are ya’ll in there? Do ya’ll not feel that? I haven’t felt that since I crossed the end zone in the Superbowl, man. [Shouts] That sh** was incredible!”
