Report: Formiga vs. Ortiz booked for UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil

Jussier Formiga vs. Dustin Ortiz is reportedly on tap for the UFC's return to Brasilia, Brazil next month.

A pivotal flyweight matchup between Jussier Formiga and Dustin Ortiz has been added to UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil next month, according to a Wednesday report from Combate. UFC officials have not confirmed the news at this time.

Formiga (18-4) is coming off a split decision loss to former title challenger Henry Cejudo at UFC Fight Night 78 late last year. The loss to Cejudo snapped the Brazilian's three-fight winning streak, which included decision victories over Wilson Reis and Zach Makovsky.

Ortiz (15-5) is 1-2 in his last three outings. In his last fight, he dropped an upset unanimous decision loss to the aforementioned Reis, who was supposed to fight for the 125-pound belt last month. His last victory came nearly a year ago over the recently released Willie Gates by impressive third-round TKO.

It is unknown at this time where Formiga vs. Ortiz will be placed on the card.

UFC Fight Night 95 takes place live from Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil on Sept. 24. The event is expected to be headlined by a women's catchweight bout between Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino and newcomer Lina Lansberg.
