Beneil Dariush vs. Rashid Magomedov in the works for TUF Latin America 3 Finale

A lightweight tilt between Beneil Dariush and Rashid Magomedov is targeted for The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America season 3 finale on November 5th in Mexico City, Mexico.

Two talented 155ers looking to make inroads as future title challengers will reportedly face off this November in Mexico City, Mexico. Rodrigo del Campo of Indiscutido reported that Beneil Dariush and Rashid Magomedov is targeted for the TUF Latin America 3 Finale, which has a confirmed main event of Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson. The night's main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.

Dariush (13-2) sensationally knocked out James Vick in the 1st round of their UFC 199 meeting in June. The decorated BJJ standout accepted the fight on short notice in place of the injured Evan Dunham, and was able to bounce back from a submission loss to Michael Chiesa he suffered in April. The Vick win marked his 4th stoppage win in the UFC, and his first one by knockout.

Magomedov (19-1) is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC, having dropped to lightweight following a successful run as a welterweight in M-1. His last win was a unanimous decision over Gilbert Burns in November 2015, capping off a run of three consecutive fights in Brazil. A knee injury forced him out of a May showdown with Chris Wade, who instead fought Rustam Khabilov. The November 5th fight date for Rashid means he'll be returning to action two days shy of 1 full year since the Burns victory.

The current UFC lightweight rankings have Dariush at #11 and Magomedov at #15, so this figures to be a good one, should this matchup come to fruition.
