Nate Diaz waiting for visit from UFC execs to 'see how obsessed' he is

After his loss at UFC 202, Nate Diaz is expecting the same treatment UFC executives gave Conor McGregor after UFC 196.

Right after his loss at UFC 196 last March, Conor McGregor immediately drummed up a rematch against Nate Diaz. At the time, "The Notorious" did not want anything else but to avenge his first UFC defeat.

For their part, UFC executives yielded to McGregor’s desire to face Diaz, instead of having him go back to 145 pounds and defend his belt.

"Conor is obsessed with this rematch. I don’t know why, but he is. It’s just his type of personality. He’s obsessed with it. He’s obsessed with fighting Diaz again – at 170 pounds," UFC president Dana White said.

McGregor got what he wished for when the UFC officially booked his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202. To his credit, he was able to get the job done by emerging victorious via majority decision.

Now, the tables have turned, and Diaz is creating some buzz for a possible third fight in the near future. So much so that he is expecting to receive the same treatment McGregor got after their March 5th fight.

"I'm still waiting for Dana [White] and Lorenzo [Fertitta] to show up to my house to see how obsessed I am," Diaz told MMA Fighting.

Diaz, however, is under investigation by USADA for smoking a CBD vape pen during his post-fight interviews on Saturday night, and is facing a possible one-year suspension.
