When Conor McGregor fought Nate Diaz at UFC 196, he became the first UFC fighter to have a recorded seven-figure fight purse (an even $1,000,000). This record would soon be broken by Brock Lesnar at UFC 200, as Lesnar commanded a $2.5 million figure for his co-main event bout vs. Mark Hunt.
With McGregor and Diaz set to lock horns again later tonight at UFC 202, the purses are considerably higher than they were for their first fight. Per the Nevada Athletic Commission (via MMAjunkie), McGregor will make a record-breaking $3 million, while Diaz will get $2 million. Neither man will get a win bonus but they will presumably get more through pay-per-view points, discretionary bonuses, etc. Diaz had earned a recorded $500,000 in his win over McGregor back in March, but tonight's salary quadruples that.
Here are the purses for the rest of the main card:
Anthony Johnson: $135,000/$135,000
Glover Teixeira: $65,000/$65,000
Donald Cerrone: $85,000/$85,000
Rick Story: $41,000/$41,000
Hyun Gyu Lim: $18,000/$18,000
Mike Perry: $10,000/$10,000
Tim Means: $31,000/$31,000
Sabah Homasi: $12,000/$12,000
