Two opponents up, two opponents down without a challenge. Daniel Cormier proved that he is indeed the guy you don't want to see in your bracket, as he took out #4 Mark Coleman with ease, 53-13. So far, Cormier has gone up against the Godfather of Ground and Pound and an Olympian, and neither has provided the slightest challenge. It looks like he may be on his way to a collision with his real-life rival Jon Jones next, which would be an interesting one for sure.
Today, to make up for the fall of Coleman, we send one old school legend into the Elite 8, no matter who wins. Here it's two of the UFC's earliest Heavyweight champions* (kind of - Severn wasn't technically champ, but, come on, he totally was) with #2 Randy Couture vs. #6 Dan Severn. Couture comes in after smashing Miesha Tate, while Seven just got by another early champ in Kevin Randleman. Winner gets in line to lose to GSP. Probably.
