Miesha Tate vs. Amanda Nunes
(UFC women's bantamweight championship)
R1: Hard snapping jab lands for Nunes. Nunes catches Tate with a glancing counter right. Tate steps in to jam an incoming right hand and hits a takedown, but Nunes pops back up and separates immediately. Nunes shoves Tate away after another clinch attempt, then stings her with a pair of jabs and a right cross that buckles her legs.
Tate throws a sloppy left hook and stays hunched over, and Nunes clubs her with a hard left hook. More explosive punches from Nunes and Tate is a bloody, staggering mess. Nunes pours it on and Tate holds her ground and covers up but gets knocked off-balance by a thunderous right hand. Nunes pounces on her and moves to back control, wrenching an over-the-chin neck crank that Tate quickly taps to. It's announced as a rear-naked choke win.
