Jose Aldo bounced back from his loss to Conor McGregor with a masterful unanimous decision win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200. He is now the interim featherweight champion, and could be the full champion if Conor McGregor never fights at 145 again. Professional fighters were glad to see Aldo back, on Twitter.

If Aldo vs Edgar is the second fight of the main card, it means that this card has to be epic! #UFC200
— Jan Blachowicz (@JanBlachowicz) July 10, 2016
Going for @FrankieEdgar in this one!
— Ben Askren (@Benaskren) July 10, 2016

Im no doctor but i think aldo have something wrong on his face tonight ...
— Olivier Aubin (@oliaubin) July 10, 2016
Something is swollen

— Dennis Bermudez (@MenaceBermudez) July 10, 2016
This is already twice as long as Aldo's last fight. Take a shot! #UFC200
— The Spartan (@EliasTheodorou) July 10, 2016
And surprisingly, it's Edgar with the low kick offense starting things off.#UFC200
— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) July 10, 2016
Looks like Aldo has been working on his counter game.
— Erik Jon Koch (@NEWBREED04) July 10, 2016
This is my fight of the night
— Sam Alvey (@smilensam) July 10, 2016
Im not the smartest man on earth but I think @FrankieEdgar is kicking @josealdojunior 2 get him 2 kick back to set his takedown up. #FightIQ
— Tyron T-Wood Woodley (@TWooodley) July 10, 2016
Wowwwwww
— Erick Silva (@ErickSilvaMMA) July 10, 2016
Aldo stole the round 1-0 #UFC200
— Anthony Perosh (@AnthonyPerosh) July 10, 2016
Aldo has power but a laser sharp hand game & low kicks are putting the fight in Edgar's favor. The feinting footwork helps too.#UFC200
— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) July 10, 2016
The ol' double spinning ass kick.
— Andre Fili (@TouchyFili) July 10, 2016
Aldo's speed and reaction time is from a different planet. Can he keep going for 5 rounds? #UFC200
— Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian) July 10, 2016
Jose is straight up on the run
— Chris Wade (@CWadeMMA) July 10, 2016
Aldo is just saying NO to Edgar's take downs. #ufc200
— The Spartan (@EliasTheodorou) July 10, 2016

— Kevin Lee (@MoTownPhenom) July 10, 2016
Pls don't gas aldo #UFC200
— JIMI MANUWA (@POSTERBOYJM) July 10, 2016
Hard to win backing up the whole time but Aldo is in it. Lots of power but he needs to be offensive. Edgar needs more patience. #UFC200
— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) July 10, 2016
Am I the only one not watching UFC 200?
— Chidi Njokuani (@ChidiBangNjoku) July 10, 2016
Aldo's takedown defense is on another level.
— Erik Jon Koch (@NEWBREED04) July 10, 2016
When's the last time someone has consistently stopped an Edgar takedown? Aldo, just straight-arming Frankie to counter the td's. #UFC200
— Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian) July 10, 2016
You can see @TheNotoriousMMA is the champ one punch ends fights
— Neil 2 Tap Seery (@NeilSeeryMMA) July 10, 2016
Remember people: impressive as it is, stopping takedowns alone does not = winning the round.#UFC200
— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) July 10, 2016
Like something out of a horror movie. pic.twitter.com/yifjlTJPb7
— Cathal Pendred (@Pendred) July 10, 2016

— Jeremy Stephens (@LiLHeathenMMA) July 10, 2016
This fight is so hard to score...gonna say 2-1 Aldo #UFC200
— Chris Kelades (@keladesmma) July 10, 2016
Wow, this is a scrap! I have no idea how to score those first 3 rounds. Who has the edge? Edgar? #UFC200
— Joe Ellenberger (@JoeEllenberger) July 10, 2016
Aldo 3-0. Hard to judge! #UFC200
— Anthony Perosh (@AnthonyPerosh) July 10, 2016

— Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian) July 10, 2016
Aldo!
— Rafael Cordeiro (@kings_mma) July 10, 2016
Im surprised he won retreating the whole time & getting out struck. I think if he had been more aggressive he would have won by KO or TKO.
— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) July 10, 2016
Congratz @josealdojunior ! Nice to see you back! @FrankieEdgar you are a warrior! #UFC200
— Tarec Saffiedine (@tarecfighter) July 10, 2016
Congrats @josealdojunior! Stayed fresh for the whole 5 & land great counters! Looked great, cant wait for Aldo vs @TheNotoriousMMA! #UFC200
— Mike Quick Swick (@officialswick) July 10, 2016
Very disappointed Aldo didn't jump over the cage and get in McGregor face. He let him sit there all civil and shit
— Kevin Lee (@MoTownPhenom) July 10, 2016
Aldo elegant. Got to respect Frankie's hustle. Two of the sport's best #UFC200
— Nico Musoke (@NicoMusoke) July 10, 2016
The UFC just announced Frankie Edgar just became the 1st fighter to log six hrs of total Octagon time. That's a lifetime...
— Ron Kruck (@rkruck) July 10, 2016
I wouldn't have been mad either way. I had Aldo winning 48-47 but thought the judges might fav Edgar via aggression #UFC200
— Derek Brunson (@DerekBrunson) July 10, 2016
The Champ is back @josealdojunior
