UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez is set to take place tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. There should be a lot of tightly contested bouts on the card as over half of the matches contain an underdog with a moneyline less than +200. Only three of the twelve scheduled bouts involve favorites with moneylines exceeding -300. Check out the ever-changing odds for tonight's matchups courtesy of BestFightOdds.com.
The largest underdog on the main card is "Danger Zone" Mitch Clarke as he takes on the main card's heaviest favorite Joseph Duffy. Clarke spoke to Bloody Elbow about being such a sizable dog:
"I've been an underdog in every fight. it doesn't matter to me anymore. Before it used to get under my skin. I don't know how bad it is. I don't really care, but i'm going to be an underdog in every fight so I don't really give a shit."
SUGGESTIONS:
Safe bets do not exist on this card, but, Pedro Munhoz teasing with a moneyline around -200 is not the worst of deals.
If you're of the adventurous persuasion and enjoy a solid chance bet then you can pick up Eddie Alvarez for around +294. Alvarez has shown an improved FIQ and still possesses the sort of hard nosed striking that can land him in the winner's circle. Also for you risk takers, the +330 Mitch Clarke has been known to catch a slick submission from a funky angle... Just ask Al Iaquinta.
The opening bout of UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez will be the -415 Vicente Luque taking on the +363 Alvaro Herrera. As far as Luque owning such a large line, Bloody Elbow's Connor Ruebusch said this on the MMA Vivisection:
"I would never put -400 odds on a journeymen with an 8-5 record."
