World Series of Fighting has announced a Big Apple event at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve.

With the recent legislative victories achieved within the Big Apple, the major MMA promotions will begin to flock to the sleepless city to provide fans the long awaited chance to witness professional mixed martial arts at the highest levels. The World Series of Fighting CEO Carlos Silva has just announced that the top promotion has scheduled a New Year’s Eve event at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City.

During the NBCSN broadcast of WSOF 32: Moraes vs. Hill II, Carlos Silva had this to say:

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring our exciting, world championship live event series to The Big Apple, where fans have been anxiously waiting for years, for live, professional MMA action to be able to happen in their city.”

Silva continued:

We have been working diligently with the staff at the New York State Athletic Commission as well as the executives at Madison Square Garden to complete all of the necessary steps to make this historic and great event happen on New Year’s Eve.

The New Year’s Eve event will be the WSOF’s second appearance on NBC. The competing fighters will be named as the event approaches. Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for all of your updates, news, interviews, and more!
