Nate Diaz may have packed on some muscle ahead of his welterweight rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 202. The fan favourite headed to California's Ten Goose Boxing Gym to spar with 22-year-old boxing prospect Juan Funez, and he's looking big.

In fact, according to Ten Goose's head coach Ricky Funez, the former UFC lightweight title challenger is close to weighing 200 pounds just a few weeks out from his headlining bout with McGregor.

"It's a privilege to have Nate sparring with Juan, even though Nate is almost like 200 pounds," Funez said in the Instagram video.

Diaz, who is known to spar with high-level, championship boxers such as Andre Ward, utilised his boxing to devastating effect at UFC 196. The Stockton-born fighter overwhelmed McGregor with crisp combinations in the second round and eventually submitted 'The Notorious' with a rear-naked choke.

Diaz entered the bout as a considerable underdog and will look to prove that his win was no fluke at UFC 202. The pay-per-view, which features Diaz vs. McGregor II in the main event, takes place August 20 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
