WSOF president Ray Sefo stated that lightweight champion Justin Gaethje will face Ozzy Dugulubgov on September 24, 2016. If Gaethje gets the better of Ozzy then the current WSOF lightweight champion will meet with the awaiting Jason High, who is coming off of a spectacular TKO finish of Mike Ricci at WSOF 31.
"Right now Ozzy Dugulubgov is the number one contender and is getting ready for a title fight against Justin Gaethje. If Ozzy wins that fight then the champion has an automatic rematch where if the champion wins that fight then Jason High is next in line for a title fight."
Former opponent and close friend of Sefo, Mark Hunt, has been very vocal as of late regarding the start of a fighters association. The 8x K-1 Grand Prix Finalist Ray Sefo had this to say regarding a fighters association:
"Anything like that can either work good or bad. I don't have too much of an opinion on that matter but... It definitely ain't gonna hurt."
Ray Sefo disclosed when the next World Series of Fighting event on NBC network television will take place:
"That card is scheduled for December, New Years Eve. There's a few names. We're looking to narrow down the location and then plan the card accordingly."
