Fresh off his KO win over Michael McDonald on July 13, John Lineker is already thinking about his future in the bantamweight division. As "Hands of Stone" shared with Combate, he would very much like to take on former champion T.J. Dillashaw next.
In his eyes, that would be closest way to put himself up for a title shot against Dominick Cruz.
"I believe Dillashaw is the way for me to get a fight with Dominick Cruz. It would be a huge test for me and his style is very similar to Cruz's. I think that if I beat Dillashaw, I'll get a title shot next."
Eager to get back in the Octagon, Lineker sees himself getting back in action in three months or so.
"If it were up to me, I would get back in there tomorrow if I got the call from the UFC. But I think I'll be back in about three months. If I could, I would like to fight in November. That's what I'm here to do."
