Still nursing a shoulder injury in Brazil, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos spoke to some fans and reporters during an event in a shopping mall. While answering questions, Dos Santos confessed he has one big regret in his career, which was trying to become a trash talker.

"I tried to do it, but it blew up in my face, so I quit. I just wanted to show people how Fabricio Werdum was." Dos Santos told Portal do Vale Tudo. "Until a while ago, he was saying that fighting me would be the fight of his life, that he would even retire afterwards. Suddenly, he didn't want it anymore."

"I just wanted to show people that, what he was like. But man, it was horrible. I don't know how to do that. Everyone started to talk about and criticize me. So I figured it wasn't for me. I should keep to myself. I regret it because it was unnecessary. It didn't bring me anything good".

Junior dos Santos bounced back from his KO loss to Alistair Overeem in December 2015 with an unanimous decision win over Ben Rothwell in April. For now, he has no fights scheduled yet.
