As expected, Fedor Emelianenko's return tour continues to see him in bouts where he is the lopsided betting favorite. First he was well over -1000 against Jaideep Singh at New Years. Now, in a bout against Fabio Maldonado at EFN 50 in Russia tomorrow morning, he's up there again. Here are the best lines for each man, courtesy of BestFightOdds:
For those new to BestFightOdds, they take the lines from many sports books and offer the best on each side in the handy chart above. If you'd like to see what each book is offering individually, you can do that over at their site.
The first site to post a line was Sportsbook, who had (and still has) Fedor at a crazy -1800. Other books have opened him with a (slightly) more reasonable line in the -1100 to -1200 range. This is no different than his last fight - one book opened him at -2500.
I find this bout a lot more intriguing than the Singh fight though. Not enough where I think there's any value in Maldonado, but I believe that there will be some bets on his side.
You can check out the fight tomorrow live on UFC Fight Pass.
