Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo took the opportunity to answer questions about a potential injury ahead of his rematch with Frankie Edgar, and to fire back at his trash talk during a press conference at his gym, Nova Uniao, in Rio de Janeiro.

As Aldo told Combate, he doesn’t care if Edgar has pointed out all the times he needed to pull out of a fight because of injuries - he will be there to fight him again in July.

“First of all, you need to know whether or not you are injured to talk about it. I couldn’t care less about him, what he says or doesn’t say about me. We are training hard over here. I really want to win this fight, to show my skills, because there was no fight in my last match. I don’t even care what about what he has to say. He can go f**k himself.

Jose Aldo is scheduled to meet Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight belt, at UFC 200, on July 9, in Las Vegas. The night will be headlined by a light heavyweight title unification bout between interim champion, Jon Jones, and the reigning champion, Daniel Cormier.
