Put Dominick Cruz's name down on the superfight list of guys looking for a shot at Conor McGregor. The bantamweight UFC champ sat down with Fight Hub TV recently to talk about his upcoming bout with Urijah Faber at UFC 199. While there, he got asked the inevitable "What do you think of the talk about Conor McGregor fighting Floyd Mayweather question?"
Cruz didn't take the bait,t hough, instead using it as an opportunity to throw his own hat into the ring for a potential superfight with the featherweight champion:
"I don't know what to say about it," Cruz told Fight Hub TV. "I wonder if anyone asked McGregor about me? I'm interested in people asking questions about me. I'm not interested in Mayweather or McGregor; it doesn't matter, that's not my issue. That's them.
"I got no problem with superfights with any of those guys. They'd have a hard time catching me, they'd have a harder time hitting me, and a harder time stopping my takedowns. I'm a problem for everybody."
Cruz also talked about what it was like to finally have training camps in quick succession again, prepping for rematches, finishing fights, and taking on critics. A lot to check out, so give the video a watch!
UFC 199 goes down this weekend in Inglewood, California. The event will be headlined by Luke Rockhold, defending his middleweight title against Michael Bisping. Dominick Cruz will defend the bantamweight belt against Urijah Faber in the co-main event.
