Tonight's big fight saw Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan meet for boxing's lineal Middleweight title in a much discussed fight. Check out full fight video highlights from Canelo vs. Khan right here at Bloody Elbow, courtesy of ESPN. The round by round recap is below.

Round 1: Very good first round for Khan, who uses his movement and hand speed to land some shots on Canelo, including a stiff right in the early moments. Canelo misses wildly at first, but then starts to find Khan a bit more, landing 1 or 2 good shots. To Khan's great credit, they don't seem to phase him. 10-9 Khan

Round 2: Canelo switches things up a bit this round, playing more of the aggressive puncher as opposed to the counter-puncher we saw in round 1. The results however are mostly the same. Khan has to move more with Canelo chasing him down, but Khan succeeds there, avoiding most shots and again using his hand speed to get his own combos in. 10-9 Khan

Round 3: Canelo is very focused on the left hook here, throwing his all behind that punch consistently. He lands it early, but it doesn't hurt Khan, and from then on, Khan avoids it. It's a close round, with Khan's defense keeping him safe and Canelo also avoiding most shots until the end when Khan lands a nice combo. Doesn't seem to really hurt Canelo, but it's enough for the round. 10-9 Khan

Round 4: Khan continues to use his hand speed well, but Canelo's defense is finding its groove, as he is starting to avoid and time a lot of Khan's offense. He's also starting to get his body shot game going, which is one of his best weapons. Close round here, but I like Canelo's body shots for the advantage. 10-9 Canelo

Round 5: Both men connect at times in another close round, but as with the last round, it seems Canelo's body shots are making the difference. Khan still has the hand speed, but his movement is slowing down, allowing Canelo to trap him at times and connect, particularly to the body. It seems Khan gets hurt by one of those shots late, but it's unclear. 10-9 Canelo

Round 6: Early in the round, Canelo lands the best combo of the fight with a right to the body, left hook. He's starting to find Khan consistently, and then, just like that, he lands the brutally heavy shot and Amir Khan is down and OUT.
