In a post-Mayweather and post-Pacquiao world, boxing's biggest star is undoubtedly Mexico's Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (46-1-1, 32 KOs). The reigning WBC middleweight champion will make his first defense of the belt tonight on HBO PPV against England's Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs). As was the case for Canelo's last fight, this fight will be contested at a 155 lbs catchweight.
Included here (at the top of the page) are the non-televised undercard fights that will take place before the 9:00 PM ET PPV broadcast starts. The live stream is free via Youtube. These undercard fights begin at 7:00 p.m. ET tonight, Saturday, May 7th, at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The feature fighter on the undercard is Diego De La Hoya, who is the cousin of the great Oscar De La Hoya. He's 21 years old and one of the more exciting prospects in the lower weight divisions. Ireland's Jason Quigley, part of Oscar's Golden Boy Promotions stable, will put his unbeaten record on the line against James De la Rosa.
Here's the full undercard fight card:
Jason Quigley (10-0, 9 KOs) vs. James De la Rosa (23-3, 13 KOs) - Middleweights (160 lbs)
Diego De La Hoya (14-0, 8 KOs) vs. Rocco Santomauro (13-0, 1 KO) - Super bantamweights (122 lbs)
