Main Card (PPV, 10 PM ET)

Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic

R1: Quick inside low kick from Miocic is answered with an aggressive left body kick from Werdum. And another left body kick, then a short right for the champ. Outside low kick is there for Miocic, then one inside. Werdum doubles up on his jab to set up a clean right cross. Werdum reaches down for a single leg but Miocic isn't having it. Sharp jab lands for Miocic, then an angle jab.

Werdum answers with a clubbing right upstairs, then a charging flurry. Miocic backpedals on the first barrage and, when Werdum oddly chases him again at full speed whilst throwing wild punches, flings a right hand that causes Werdum to nosedive into the canvas. And we have a new heavyweight champion.

  • Stipe Miocic defeats Fabricio Werdum by KO (punch) 2:47

Vitor Belfort vs. Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza

R1: Souza presses forward in a low stance, swinging a low kick and landing it. Souza shoots a double with no set up and Belfort easily defends with an under-hook, then he circles off the fence with wrist control and separates. Souza shoots a low single and finishes it with an ankle pick, landing in Belfort's half guard. Cross-face elbows for Souza as he looks for a mount pass.

Souza locks down in half guard and postures up with a vicious succession of right hands, and Belfort's face is covered with blood shortly after. The ref intervenes to have the doctor check Belfort, and they're restarted on the ground after he's cleared. Souza threatens with another mount pass, then goes for an armbar as Belfort rolls out to escape, but it's too lose. Souza stays attached, keeping Belfort on the fence and then hitting a double leg. Belfort glances with an up-kick before Souza steps over his legs and dings him with punches. Souza hops into full mount and pounds away until the ref waves the fight off.

  • Ronaldo Souza defeats Vitor Belfort by TKO (punches) R1 4:38

Cris Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith

R1: Cyborg unbolts a pair of fearsome combinations right out of the gate. She lets a high kick fly and Smith blocks it, but Cyborg leads with a right to the body, then comes high with a hook that sits Smith down. Cyborg swarms with punches until the ref jumps in. And that's that.

  • Cris Cyborg defeats Leslie Smith by TKO (punches) R1 1:21

R1: Rua attacks with low kicks from range and Anderson backs him off with a one-two. Clean outside low kick from "Shogun" but Anderson catches him with a quick counter right. Another outside low kick from Rua. Lead left hook is there for Rua, though it lands short. Glancing overhand right now from Rua, hidden behind a jab. Now a step-in jab for Rua, followed by a low kick.

Anderson goes inside with a low kick and it knocks Rua off-balance, then he lands a right on his way into the clinch. Rua breaks the clinch and separates. Lead left hook again from Rua but Anderson tags him with two as a response. Anderson closes a left/right with an outside low kick, then lands a short right to the face. Outside low kick for Rua. "Shogun" blasts Anderson with a left hook in the closing seconds, and it stiffens his legs and drops him. Rua pounces on the dazed Anderson but runs out of time. 10-9 Rua.

R2: Rua sits down on a heavy overhand right as Anderson's coming in. Anderson pieces together a combo and glances with a right. Rua lands an inside low kick and shells on Anderson's counter-combo, but Anderson wisely changes levels and nails a double leg. Half guard for Rua, then Anderson backs out when he regains his guard. Rua uses the space to scramble back to his feet and Anderson puts him on the cage. Knee to the body from Rua with his back on the fence, then they separate into open space.

Anderson fires a right and flows into a single leg. Rua evades with footwork, then gets a strong over-hook as Anderson drives him into the fence. Rua shells on an Anderson elbow when breaking the clinch. Anderson shoots a halfhearted takedown and Rua stops it, then threatens with a front choke, forcing Anderson to bail out. Anderson hits a takedown briefly; Rua pops back up to his feet and separates. Rua catches a low kick and puts Anderson on his back in the final seconds of the round. 10-10.

R3: Hard outside low kick for Rua, set up with his hands. Lead left hook lands for Anderson though Rua counters with a glancing right. Anderson shoots a double from outside and powers Rua to the ground after changing angles against the fence. Rua closes his guard locks down the posture of Anderson, seemingly looking for a stand up. Anderson lands an elbow from the top.

Anderson maintains control momentarily until Rua goes onto his right hip, then puts his back on the fence to stand up. Anderson stays on him, taking him down again but he can't keep him there. Rua again goes down but gets right back up. Anderson keeps Rua on the fence, dropping for a double and then switching to a singe leg, both to no avail. Anderson tries to separate and swarm but Rua defends well. 10-9 Anderson. I have it a 29-29 draw.

  • Mauricio Rua defeats Corey Anderson by split decision (28-29, 29-28 x2)

Warlley Alves vs. Bryan Barberena

R1: Alves comes out like a ball of fire, clipping Barberena with a body kick after the glove touch and then falling back with a guillotine snared tight. Barberena gives the thumbs up and patiently peels his head out. Alves goes for another guillotine but Barberena easily shakes it off. Alves works back to his feet amidst a hail of left hands from Barberena, who then works the thighs with short knees until Alves separates. Inside low kick is there for Barberena but Alves fires a heavy right body kick back at him, and follows it into the clinch.

Barberena lands a few nice elbows with his back on the fence, then an inside low kick after they separate. Counter right hook from Barberena in open space. Another inside low kick from Barberena but it's again answered by Alves with a body kick. Alves forces a clinch but can't keep it. Barberena chops out Alves' lead leg with a vicious low kick, and he careens off-balance. Alves puts him on the fence and Barberena goes to the cross-face, then cross-face elbows to create space. Inside low kick from Barberena, then a short uppercut from the single collar tie. 10-9 Barberena.

R2: Barberena holds his ground as Alves advances, glancing with short shots on consecutive combos. Alves turns his hips over on a hard low kick and lands two punches on his way into the clinch. Barberena shoves him away and separates. Barberena keeps tapping away with a short counter right and it's now drawn a stream of blood from the left eye of Alves. Barberena holding his own with tight combinations as Alves comes forward with heavy leather.

Alves unloads a few big lefts and rights but Barberena counter-clinches to slow the momentum shift, then separates. They trade heavy body kicks. Alves forces a clinch and Barberena again thwacks him with a cross-face elbow. Barberena, capitalizing on the dip in output from Alves, starts to put combinations together, landing consecutive uppercut/hook medleys. Alves forces a clinch and Barberena clangs more elbows off his jaw. 10-9 Barberena.

R3: They both trudge out swinging leather, landing evenly. Alves snaps his head back with a stiff jab. Barberena loses his balance and Alves rushes him to close the gap, then puts him on the fence. Barberena circles off and separates after a trip attempt. Inside low kick for Barberena but Alves answers with a front kick downstairs. Barberena plugs him with a right hook to the head. Alves throws a flying knee that's mostly blocked by Barberena, who answers with another sharp elbow to the face.

They separate at the halfway mark. Glancing right hand for Barberena, then a left hand after absorbing a body kick from Alves. Barberena turns it on with a steady hum-drum of punches, landing his fair share. Barberena zones in, stalking forward and keeping a variety of leather in Alves' face. No dice on the spinning kick from Alves. Barberena continues to march forward with tight combinations, and Alves fires back until the horn sounds. 10-9 Barberena. I have it 30-27 Barberena.

  • Bryan Barberena defeats Warlley Alves by unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
