KSW 34: Bedorf vs. McSweeney event preview

Check out the full preview for Saturday's KSW 34 show with three title fights in the headlining roles.

KSW

The first KSW show of 2016 will feature three title fights atop the card. Heavyweight champ Karl Bedorf will defend his title against UFC veteran James McSweeney in the headlining act, while light-heavyweight champ Tomasz Narkun and featherweight title holder Artur Sowinski will also compete on the card.

Bedorf (13-2) will defend the title he won in 2013 for the third time in his professional career. He is coming off a vicious head-kick KO of fellow countryman Michał Kita. Prior to that, he defeated the likes of Rolles Gracie and Pudzianowski vanquisher Peter Graham.

McSweeney (15-13) made his KSW debut on Halloween in London, where he choked out Polish legend Marcin Rożalski in the opening round. A longtime veteran of the sport, McSweeney fought for some of the biggest organizations in the world during his nine-year career, including UFC, One, BAMMA and Cage Rage.

205-pound champ Narkun claimed the light-heavyweight crown on Halloween at KSW's first show in London. He knocked out Goran Reijic in the opening round to earn the upset victory. He will now defend his title against Brazil's Cassio Barbosa. The Brazilian is coming off a win against Ronny Markes this year in Shooto Brazil.

Featherweight champ Artur Sowinski will defend his title against Brazilian prospect Fabiano Silva Da Conceicao. Sowinski is on a five-fight win streak, including a win over Kleber Koike Erbst to claim the title in his most recent outing. He will now face a Jungle Fights veteran and former Tachi Palace bantamweight champion to maintain his spot atop the division.

Former M-1 Global welterweight champion Alsambek Saidov will also take part on the KSW 34 card. He will challenge the debuting Swiss grappler of Peruvian and Japanese descent Yasubey Enomoto on the main card. Bulgarian middleweight Svetlozar Savov also signed with KSW and will make his promotional debut against up-and-coming Polish knockout artist Łukasz Bieńkowski.

KSW 34 takes place March 5th in Warsaw, Poland.
