MacDonald on Georges St-Pierre: I think he'd come back for the right amount of money

Rory MacDonald discussed the rumors of a possible return of his teammate and former UFC champ, Georges St-Pierre.

Rumors have been swirling around about a possible return for Georges St-Pierre, and his appearance at UFC 196 just fanned the flames even more. While his teammate Rory MacDonald admits that they don't really discuss that topic much in the gym, he did give his thoughts on a possible return for the long-time welterweight champ.

"I really don't know (if he's coming back). He's so secretive!" Rory said on the MMA Hour. "It's hard to get a read on it, but he's training and he's doing good. I don't know. I think it really comes down to numbers."

"I think he could come back, if the right amount of money is on the table, if the right fight is there for him," he said. "That's my guess. But I try not to ask Georges about those stuff, because that's pretty much what everyone wants to ask him."

As for what that right fight could possibly be, Firas Zahabi has come out to call for a bout against Nate Diaz at UFC 200, and MacDonald seems to like the idea as well.

"That would be fun, I think it would be good to see him fight Nate or something like that, or Conor (McGregor). It'd be cool."

"When it happens, it will happen," he said. "I will just see it on the news or something. He will do what he wants to do, and he will be fine."

The all-time great in St-Pierre is now 34-years-old and last fought in 2013.
