The UFC 196 is surely going to become a memorable event, as Conor McGregor moves up in weight to prove himself in the welterweight division. Since his fight with Rafael dos Anjos was cancelled, the UFC featherweight champion will now jump over the lightweight division completely.
Being a bigger guy for many of 145lbs fighters, McGregor will lose his usual size and reach advantage as he takes on Nate Diaz in the 170lbs division.
The upcoming fight with Diaz could clarify the speculation on how Conor can be successful in a heavier weight class, and this is what makes this fight extremely interesting to watch.
Both Diaz and McGregor had their latest fights in December, but nobody can really be sure about Diaz's physical condition after stepping in on such short notice.
UFC 196 takes place on Saturday March 5, in MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las-Vegas. The show will be broadcasted on Pay-Per-View. Watch above for the newest promo for the card.
