McGregor destroys TMZ reporter who asked Jesus question: 'Shut the f--k up'

The TMZ reporter who asked Conor McGregor about Jesus, Charlie Cotton, was shut down by the Irishman when he tried to imply racism was used to motivate his trash talk against Nate Diaz.

Conor McGregor was targeted by Rafael dos Anjos, Wanderlei Silva and other men of faith when he jokingly claimed that he would whoop Jesus' ass in a fight. Whilst those comments could be perceived as insulting, it should be noted that the TMZ reporter who asked the question, Charlie Cotton, quizzed McGregor out the of the blue and was clearly looking to make a joke of the situation.

Cotton, an Australia-based TMZ reporter, recently caught up with McGregor after his back-and-forth UFC 196 press conference with Nate Diaz. While the Irishman played along with his Jesus question in the first interview, McGregor didn't take kindly when asked if his Mexican remarks about Diaz were racially motivated.

"I honestly like Nick's little bro," McGregor said. "He's like a little cholo gangster from the hood, but at the same time, he coaches kids jiujitsu on a sunday morning, and goes on bike rides with the elderly!"

"The Notorious" instantly shut Cotton down when he was caught after the press conference yesterday.

"Mate, shut the f--k up, will ya?!," McGregor said. "Remember that Jesus sh-t you brought up? Such a stupid question. You're an idiot."

Conor McGregor will move up two weight classes to take on Nate Diaz in a non-title fight welterweight clash at UFC 196 on March 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
